Good evening,
I have recently moved into a 1960s bungalow with a dormer. We started to get leaks in the living room after a couple of weeks of moving in. You can clearly see the history of botch jobs to hide the leaks and damage to the ceiling boards.
The finlock guttering sags outside the living room window near where the water accumulates and drips inside after significant rain fall. The finlock just holds a massive pool of water in heavy rain and I end up scooping it out manually. The reason I ask is that I have had the roof refelted and flashing, Battons etc done last week. This stopped a different leak in the living room next to the chimney brest.(2 leaks in total to start with).
Does finlock have the capacity to cause leaks like this? The guys who done the roof were surprised when I called!
Any help would be appreciated.
