Salus T105RF anticipates heat requirement?

Hi,

I've got the Salus T105RF which seems like the poor relation of the RT500RF but never mind...

I wonder if the programme settings are telling the thermometer when to switch on and off, or when to actually *be* at either the economy or the comfort temperature.

I had programmed it thinking they were on and off times, but today I noticed the boiler had fired up about ½ hour before the 'on' time, so I am thinking there is some kind of anticipator (not in the analogue sense obviously) on board.

So say I want the temp to be 18C at 3pm, and the room temperature before was 16C, the thermostat kicks in at (say) 2.45pm to get the temperature about right by 3pm?

If so, that's fine and I'll change the programmes accordingly. If not then maybe I have RF interference although it doesn't appear to have switched on or off at other times.

There seems to be a wide gulf between what a Salus should do and what it actually does do....

Good luck with this!

Hehe OK :)

Well I think it may have been RF interference so I have changed some dip switches and will see. It's now too warm to need the heating anyway so will have to wait till it gets cold. At least it can't come on during the night as the boiler clock overrides that.

(Well, it can *think* it should be on at night if it wants but won't do anything)
