Arrived home tonight to discover that my 3-1/2 year old son has managed to strike our TV screen with a wooden handle - crunch!!!

Is the TV now destined for the dustbin or is it actually possible to economically repair.

Excuse my ignorance: It's a Samsung UE55KU6000 LED TV flat screen, 2 year old.

It is repairable by fitting a new screen but I doubt that it would be economically viable. I would take the pictures to a tv repair shop and ask them how much.

Keep an eye on gum tree / eBay for the same tv with a different fault you might then be able to get a cheap screen.

Gutted as it may be approaching 2-years old but its barely been used. I doubt you could get a faultly TV in better condition!!!! ;)

I hate seeing things go to landfill. I may have to consider the gum tree option but put mine up for sale! (Not before I've had a nosey for any for sale thought)
