Hello All

I have a Scantonix 9651 System BUT my Keypad now does not work whichever keys you press!

I have the Engineers Code but cannot enter it to disable the system.

Can anyone suggest a way to completely disable the system so I can fit a new keypad without setting off the alarm?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Hi Handymanjo

Was advised 9943EN direct keypad replacement?

If no keypads available how can I still disarm the system?

Many Thanks

Thanks T1ger!!! But how do I disarm the alarm system to fit the keyboard if the old keyboard does not work and I cannot enter the engineers code?

No need to down power, remove the old keypad replace for new make sure they are addressed the same. Just avoid shorting the +12v and negative
You will get an internal tamper alarm on removing the old keypad but you could just wire up the new keypad then enter engineers menu before continuing with the swap out

HI T1ger!!! Can you explain what you mean by ' make sure they are addressed the same'??

Many, Many thanks

They have a row of dip switches on the back 1-4 I believe on those so if you have more than one keypad you address them as such.

Hi T1ger!!
Mine has no dip switches so is it a like for like swap?

Many Thanks

No jumper fitted address 1 …….

HI All

Just reviving an old thread now that I have finally found an 9948 EN Keypad which I am replacing for an Scantonic 9651 Keypad.

I only have 1 Keypad so do I have to change the Dip Switch settings on the 9948 EN Keypad when installing it or can I just do a like for like replacement? If the Dip Switch settings are to be changed what should they be set to or can i leave as default as per the Image attachments?

9651 from memory has no Dip Switch settings or am I wrong?

Many Thanks.
