I have recently moved into a property with a scantronic 9427 alarm. My flatmates and I have no clue how to use it and most manuals I've found online are installation manuals or have else been deleted. Our property management/landlord hasn't provided any help on the subject even though we’ve asked.
Literally ANY help on how to use this alarm would be great. We’re just putting in the code when the alarm goes off but it doesn't go off every time we open the door and we haven't figured out why.

There are a few youtube videos for this panel as it is quite old, i would say at least 20. The panel you have may be a 9448 or a 9448+.

Please Help I have a Scantronic 9427. The front door sensor went wrong and keeps setting the alarm off. An engineer attended and didn’t have a magnetic door sensor so disconnected the sensor at the door and from the main alarm unit . I decided to replace the sensor myself and have reconnected the wires in the main alarm box into Z1 and at the front door. The alarm sets all fine but when you come into the house the alarm goes to bells. I have read the instructions and I believe I need to program the alarm to add entry time but the reprogramming instructions don’t make sense. Could someone explain step by step what I gave to do please.

That wasn’t an alarm engineer if he didn’t have a basic item like a door contact ….are you sure it wasn’t on zone 7 ( e/e) default entry circuit ?

Post photo of wiring of the pcb, have you EE on the control board as this will be entry zone.
Hope you didn't pay the so called engineer,as he should carry door contacts as standard.

Have to admit to not having my contact case with me before today, not to mention not always having a matching one... basic ones, graded ones and so on.

Need to take the case for at least one job tomorrow for certain.

Thank you for all your replies. Handymanjo that was perfect I found the EE on the control panel and this worked. Save myself a call out fee.
