Our house is a 1930s brick built bungalow with a 1970s brick or brick and block rear single storey extension. The current project is it's first kitchen refit in 25 years, being done professionally (I hope!) but leaving us to repaint or re-paper the walls. The plan is to paint.
On previous occasions, I have used a mist coat or three on new plaster before painting the top coat.
I am currently removing wallpaper in the extension area, and finding some of the plaster is bare.
Should I assume the previous wallpaper paste will have sealed the plaster adequately, and just repair small holes and cracks before painting? Or should I plan on a mist coat, first?
Thanks for any advice.

Use gardz or beeline sealer. Will neutralise paste and seal walls

Clean off the glue

And apply mist coats of paint
