Search by date order

Is there a cut-off date, so when asking for results to be ordered by date, not all are shown?

http://www.diynot.com/diy/search/4867551/?q=rothenberger&o=relevance gets 84 results.

http://www.diynot.com/diy/search/4867554/?q=rothenberger&o=date gets only 73.

A glitch? Different times the search was performed?

Both have 134 results. It's a strange one, I will keep an eye on it.

Curiouser and curiouser. I don't get the same number of results as you when I search for "rothenburger", I get 59. It would make sense for a discrepancy to be down to not getting hits for posts from people on my ignore list (although 75 feels like rather a lot).

But I do get 59 from each of

When I repeat the search for "rothenberger" (new searches, not re-using the old URLs), I still get different results:
