Is there some reason why the Search function doesn't work in the General Discussion sub-forums? 
Searches for text strings that I know to exist don't return anything. Also, the option to "Search this topic" does not appear at the tops and bottoms of threads. The only search that does seem able to penetrate their hidden depths is "Search by author". It's very annoying when you're trying to find something you, or anybody else for that matter, posted many pages back but you can't remember exactly where.
