I need to fit some door hinges for a shed door and the latch for the bolt. Do you recommend the use security screws for this and do you recommend a particular brand?

Please let me know if you favour an alternative approach.

Thanks in advance.

select lock/bolts or hinges that use at least 1 coach bolt then problem solved
random links

file a square hole in a heavy duty hinge hole or even just enlarge the hole for the bolt and sit the square on the surface

hasp and staple locks leave no exposed screws

That’s perfect. Are Brenton Bolts the best of their type? That’s the type of lock I am after by hadn’t heard of that name.

What sort of hinges do you have in mind? T hinges are very exposed, as well as weak. Hook and band hinges are much stronger, and the door cannot be lifted off when it is closed. Being thick, they are not prone to rust damage. Paint befire fitting, grease the spindle and add two stainless washers to reduce wear and squeaking. They also have some square holes for coach bolts.
