Hello everyone,
There is no mention specifically about SLC over polyethylene paints. The general consensus of leveling over paint is a no no as the adhesion is not there. I have a large area of floor that needs levelling out slightly to get rid of the ridges in the laid concrete. The concrete had been sealed, Wickes butumin paint then placed on top and then acrylic primer and lastly polyethylene paint with grit (sand) for grip.

Now two years have passed and everything is secure, but now renovation of the outbuilding has come and a beautiful looking level floor is what's required.

My questions are:

Can SLC be placed directly over the described polyethylene paint?

Are there other cost effective ways to level for DIYer?

If the SLC can't be placed under no circumstances over this type of substrate, is there an easy cost effective way to remove the paint?

Has anyone tried SCL over paint and how successful was it?

Any help with this will be appreciated.
