separate building notice application for each work?

I am opening up a load bearing wall between kitchen and lounge and I am also installing an additional WC in a storage room (next to bathroom). I am not quiet sure how building notice works so would appreciate some pointer.

So far the questions I have are:
1: Do I need to submit 2 building notice application for each proposed work or is there a way I can make 1 application for all the works that needs building control approval?

2: Does installing a new drain pipe for washing machine also need another building control approval? (converting another small storage cupboard for washing machine & tumble dryer.)

3: Does builder/bathroom fitter/plumber usually organise the approval certificate or do I have to ask for them to quote for the additional?

1 - Unless you like throwing money away for no reason, you submit one application for the total works.
2 - Probably not, but it does depend on exactly what you are installing.
3 - They might, or perhaps not. Don't assume anything.

you should submit plans instead. It's the same price, and you will find out beforehand if your proposed works are compliant.
Building notices are intended for people who already know exactly what they are doing, and know that what they are intending to do is fully compliant.

Thank you for the advice. I have structure engineer's calculation for the proposed opening, he says it's quite straight forward so I am hoping any trusted builder can make it happen asap so that I don't have spend more money rent as well as technical drawings for the full plan application.

Do you (or anyone) by any chance know how the fee charges work?
This is the fee table for my area, https://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/sites/brighton-hove.gov.uk/files/MergedFile July 13_0.pdf , will I be charged for each work type even if they are in the same application?
 
The additional WC should also be notified to your sewerage undertaker and building regs will be required if you are altering the stack/underground connections.
 
All on one application - including the drainage work.

It's your responsibility to conform and manage the building regulation process, but you can contract that out to the builder. But you need to keep track of him to make sure he does what you have asked.

The fee scales work on the value of the work. So you have to agree how much the all the work is going to cost you at market rates - and the council wont accept that it will be £50 because your mate is doing the work.
 
Thanks all.

I am on the 7th floor in a purposed build building. The WC waste pipe will be connected to existing toilet waste pipe in bathroom. No external connection.
If I submit all work in 1 application, what happens if I decided not to do the WC? We are definitely opening the wall, but there are kitchen, 2 bedrooms, lounge needs to be updated in full, we don't know if we have enough money to do the WC until much later. Can I still get a certificate for the wall no matter what?
