Hi,
My shower thermostatic cartridge is faulty I believe, as I can only get lukewarm water and no hot water. I have tried removing it to see if I can get a replacement online but I am stuck at this stage (pictures attached). I don't know the brand of the shower mixer.

Does anyone know how I can remove it to get to the thermostatic cartridge? There are two allen key bolts at the edge with the wall tiles (pictures 3 and 4), which I believe is to remove the whole unit. I have unscrewed them but the unit won't still come off.

Also, if I need to replace the whole unit, are all the dual shower thermostatic mixers in the market of this standard size?

1. The Allen bolts secure the unit to a back plate (not visible when shower is in place).
2. Turn the water off (hot and cold).
3. Unscrew / pull forward the round chrome shrouds hiding the point where the pipes go into the wall.
4. Detach shower unit from pipes (probably two large nuts, one each side) and shower should come off.
5. It is likely to have filters and non-return valves in the hot and cold feeds going into the valve. These are usually in the elbow, either where they attach to the body of the shower or where they attach to the pipework.
6. Try cleaning and descaling the filters and non-return valves and refit the shower. This may be enough to make it work.
7. I don't know how to dismantle that particular shower, but if you remove it and take photos of the top and sides it might become evident.
