Looks like you will need a compression elbow to connect to the white pipe that plumber has installed ,to the kit you have. Other than that the diagram shows the components/ assembly of the kit ,which part/ parts of that don't make sense to you that we can clarify for you ?

Firstly, I'd shorten the flexible pipe from the overflow, you dont want a dip in it or it'll collect water and crud, and start to stink.

Secondly, not sure of your budget, but personally I'd chuck that bottle trap affair supplied, and get yourself a 'P trap', a piece of waste pipe and a couple of bends. Looks like the Plumber has used 'Solvent weld' waste pipe, so you'll either need to continue in that, or use a compression bend to change to a different type of pipe.

Trap https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-tubular-swivel-p-trap-white-40mm/10970
Compression bend https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-wc11-universal-compression-waste-bend-90-40mm/35203
or Solvent weld bend will go straight onto the tail you've been left. https://www.screwfix.com/p/floplast-bends-90-white-40mm-5-pack/90596

You'll need a short piece of pipe into the outlet of the trap, then a bend, piece of pipe and then another bend to connect onto the tail the Plumber has left. If using welded fitting, assemble dry, mark positions with a pencil and dont glue anything until you're 100% sure it's right. (It will set in seconds and you aint getting it apart again!)

Yes terry compression elbow,deffinatley.
I just couldent work out why the bottom bit freeley slip up and down the pipe, but of course its height adjustable.
Its me first waste i had my hacksaw ready for cutting pipe.

You really want to alter that white waste pipe otherwise its just sticking out into the middle of the cabinet. You want to cut that elbow off then bring it left until it's in line with the trap and then up about 50-75mm higher, then bring it forward into the back of the bottle trap. You can cut the adjustable tube a bit so the trap comes higher to meet the pipe. Would be much tidier
