Hi all
I am planning to build rectangular flower bed on the side of the garden using 20cm sleepers (against the fence). They would be placed on the shorter side, max two levels and obviously screwed together etc. Currently I have artificial grass covering most of my small garden (10x4m).
My question is: can I place sleepers directly on the grass and just cut out what's in the middle of the bed? Or maybe I should dig a shallow trench, cover it with the grass and lay the sleeper on top (so the grass edge goes in the trench and is held in with the sleeper weight)? Is there a better way of doing it like adding some kind of edging?
Any comments appreciated.
