We have a sliding patio door which I have looked all over and cannot find any kind of branding. The doorstep trim (see photo) is very tatty. It a black plastic section which clips into some aluminium track underneath. I have spent most of the morning Googling and cannot find anything similar. Can anybody point me in the right direction as to somewhere I could source the trim from.

The black threshold is specific to the maker of the aluminium system, how old roughly is the door? Has the barrel lock got a logo on it, I'll take a stab and say it'l either be a Union barrel or could have an 'M' with a crown above it, if it's the M then it's a Monarch

Hi I have checked and there is no branding on the barrel, intact I cannot find any branding at all anywhere on the doors at all

What about the locking strip on the frame, look closely up and down, again you may see an M, in any case you really need to know what make the alu system is but if its old(ish) the likelihood of being able to get specific parts like locks, handles and your threshold can be impossible, I believe it clips on with a thump hence why you'l need the exact same to put back, I fear either living with it or finding some thin black rubber strip you could glue on

I think if it were mine I would unclip it and rub it it down with a medium sandpaper, wipe it down with paint thinners and spray paint it. Maybe an acrylic spray or something like that.

Unfortunately there isnt any kind of manufacturers marks anywhere to be seen without dismantling.
The channel the Black grip clips into bends round the external side and has a brush strip on it so that rules out just removing that and putting a hardwood strip in place.

Thanks for you help gents.
