Whenever I purchase a self cooling 6 or 7mm porcelain core drill bit, I always find that the tile core snaps in the bit and clogs it up. There will be loads of diamond left but the blockage makes drilling really slow.
No doubt, my technique must be at fault. Perhaps I am allowing the drill to rock, resulting in the core snapping.
I have just noticed that Macrist sell diamond arrow head type drill bits that work with the hardest porcelain. £15 for 15-35 holes strikes me as being cheaper than paying £18 for Macrist 6mm core that I clog on the first day.
Has anyone used them?
