We had a Texecom system instakked with smart com, but were left to set-up the app etc. ourselves (our choice and around 2 months has passed since alarm installation and getting round to sorting the smart side of things - family bereavement)

The smartcom connects to wifi (wifi light solid) but the cloud light flashes on and off

The panel will generate a code

I can input all the info into the app but then get a network timeout error

Spoken to Texecom++ who at first said firewall issues (firewall off), then sent a doc for opening ports (i believe ports are open) - they've said if cloud light flashing it's going to be a router issue

I am sure I will be asked what version firmware/model etc... please advise how i can find this info also?

Very stressed mum (and dad) of two young children, following big renovation, maternity leave so funds dwindling and an installer (who rightly so, isn't too interested 2 months on to sort the app/smart side)

Thanks in advance!!

Well if it’s only 2 months ago it should be current version , pressing menu 4 on the keypad will give panel type and software version

Thanks, I've altered all of the settings possible to remove firewalls (all set to 'off) and specified the smartcom within the hub manager to allow all traffic via the router, but if the software is V6 and our hub says the following below... do these two things correlate?

Also checked via the port checker on google and it says all ports are closed o_O

Thanks
Very technically dense midwife

IPv6 Pinholes

Pinholes are small holes opened in a firewall to allow data from the Internet to reach devices on the protected network such as games consoles or servers. Your Plusnet Hub can be configured to open pinholes to specific IPv6 devices for use by games or applications. This serves a similar function to Port Forwarding.
IPv6 Pinholes are not currently enabled as your Plusnet Hub and/or Plusnet Broadband Network are not enabled for IPv6

This has been resolved smart com was on com 3 but programmed on com 1. com 2 and other settings were correct.

Needs the texexom cloud to add the system which was added to our system.
The firewalls should be able to turn them back on if they aren’t already and check system is still communicating properly.

Thanks for your help with this. Will do so. We just have a few tweaks to sort having used the system this weekend. We want to rename ‘master’ and tweak the part-set settings so may post for help with that to avoid messing anything up!

you can rename the master text if you wish, however when using the smart com it used to look for user 01 Master, not sure if it still looks for the text name but does still have bearing if user type is changed from master.

As for programming part sets you can with the master user, use alter part arms menu, some in the past have found this confusing. Believe it isn’t in the basic user Manual but in Elite Master User Manual available online from various sources
