Smeg aquastop fault

I have a smeg df614fas which we decided to clean yesterday as it wasn’t cleaning well. Stupidly we put some costic soda in as we thought it may help clean the foyer area, clearly a bad idea. It now is fauling with an aquastop error.
I’ve seen videos that I need to clean the underside out, but I cannot see how the door or kick plate comes off.
Any ideas?

I laid it back 45 degrees. Lots of water came out.
Put it back and it’s still not working. Sounds like a pump jammed as no water coming though.

Yes. My partner took out the internal bits next to where the salt goes giving it a clean.
All from memory now
