Hello

my brother and father recently dry lined the chimney breast of my house. They've done a good job - it's all square and level, with a layer of joint filler and then easy-fill - but they ran out of time towards the end and in some places the final layer is uneven.

I've gently sanded it as instructed, but in some places it's still uneven and others the joint tape is just visible.

Is the answer to sand it all and apply another thin layer of easifill?

All advice much appreciated.

Thank you

2 - coats of pva, second coat sticky/tacky.
then re-skim the whole lot.
start early with everything at hand esp. powder.

has a vent been inserted for the flue?

The easifill is only on the joints/corners, right? In which case yes add more and sand it.
