Soak away distance from outbuildings?

Hi guys,

I know building regs state that a soak away must be 5m from buildings, but does this include outbuildings?
I have a concrete garage on a 100mm concrete slab. Can a soak away go close to this or is it 5m from this also?

Didn't know that rule! But when I bought my house five years ago and had the drive relaid with block paving, including the shared part with my neighbour, the installers dug a new soakaway for the drainpipe between our garages where there was none before - see pic. Previously there was just tarmac in very poor condition; the downpipe was there but with no connection to a drain, a soakaway or anything. It's been fine. Whether it meets the Building Regs, I don't know.

Didn't know there were different types...I know they dug a hole and put stones or gravel down but I don't know any more I'm afraid.
