Just doing a bit of research to see if what I wanted to do is actually possible! If you could help or have any experience of something similar that would be great! So the idea is that I may move my washing machine into the cellar and put in a sink, tumble dryer etc. Only problem is it seems the lifting pumps have to connect to a stack and there isn't one on this side of the house (they are far too far away on the front to even consider running pipes to them). However, there is a drain not too far away, but in front of a concrete floor, (connecting to mains sewage, old house) that the kitchen sink, dishwasher and washing machine (40mm pipes) just empty into at the moment. So my question is what could I do to connect the discharge pipe (say 32mm)? A new drainage channel is a must, I know, but can I connect underground straight into 110mm pipe or would I need an access chamber or a new stub stack? And if a stub stack would it need to be vented? Just to highlight, I am not planning on a toilet, just grey water!
