So I recent got around to decorating the spare bathroom its always had a spot on the ceiling where the previous owners said they experienced a leak but had fixed. Anyway i came to sanding the spot down for a new coat of paint and noticed some dampness.

Upon investigation in the loft I found that horizontally running soil pipe venting out to the roof via a Manthorpe Flexi pipe setup.

I sourced the leak and dampness coming from where the flexi pipe joins the PVC pipe, as the picture shows below it looks like someone has taped it together and there isn't much angle so rain water or condensation maybe collecting. The actual amount of water is a few drips when it rains (i think) hence why its not noticeable too much in the bathroom below, coincidentally if it does drip to the bathroom it goes straight into the bath tub! (note the plank I put in so i could inspect)

So whats the best way to fix this? I would like to have a go myself but if its a tricky job then happy to call a pro (just don't know which trades person to call e.g. roofer? plumber etc
I am happy to join pipe together and create solvent joints if needed, just want to get the design right as i hate working up in the loft!
