Sony Bravia power up

Model kdl32v 4000 When attempting to turn on from off rather than standby you have to push the button 3 or 4 times for the green light to come on, I have tried all the disconnect from mains and reset along with disconnecting sky box and disc player ideas but it makes no difference so could it be the switch that needs cleaning or could it be a condenser that is on the way out? I say this because if you turn off at switch and straight back on it will 9 times out of ten power up.
I have tried the set remote and that makes no difference although we only use the sky one and it is never left on standby.

Usually a capacitor or two in the power supply board.

My set takes around 10 seconds from Mains power being applied to responding to power button; always has right from new. Reckon it's due to the SMPS taking time to come up to working condition.
Think I have the same set.

Cheers guys, Will pop the back off in the week and take a look and fingers crossed may have a cap at the correct spec.
