Speaker of the House of Commons

In any questions tonight

It was said that starmer strong armed the speaker ??

Or to put it into context basically threatened to duff him up :giggle: :giggle: ???
A few words in the shell like from a powerful individual is more effective than a threat of physical violence

They want to be associated with success so we will see more of bliar and brown as the election approaches. But they have to careful not to overshadow him.
I guess you would prefer Labour to lose

It looks as if the penny has dropped with the toreys and they will move on the no confidence vote. Its difficult to see how the speaker will survive that. But he's either a lame duck, or labours patsy after the next election.

Where are you getting that information? I've not seen anything on mainstream media. Are you plugged in somehow to these things?

The number of MPs who have signed the no confidence petition hasn't changed since Wednesday or Thursday.

The debate continues to be about kicking out the speaker more than the subject matter of the motion and its amendments.

A political squabble among politicians.

There must be an election coming up.

Between back bench torey and snp mp’s, and the Speaker, because of the speakers disgraceful political bias. The PM and cabinet seem to be moving on, so its down to the rank and file.

Out of the air and rumour. Labour have recently stated no mp or anyone else applied pressure to the speaker.

A interesting aspect was mentioned - it's not clear if it has any relevance to a speaker; Also some doubt about what could be used to remove a speaker. A comment by some so could be true or false.

The petition count indicates a split in the Tories. Penny seems to have shifted to just blaming Labour. She represents the Tory element that is in power. One Tory MP said he would fight like hell to prevent the speaker from being removed.

The real problem is the SNP and words not helped by the Tory walking out as well. LOL There is talk of a repeat.

Where are you getting this information? It seems to have fizzled out in the mainstream media. The number of MPs who have signed the no confidence petition hasn't changed since Wednesday or Thursday. Even the Daily Mail aren't really bothering, apart from that very minor bit of tittle tattle linked to above.
