Spraying versus roller

I saw few videos online using an electric paint sprayer. I have also seen negativity about using them.
In my case, the room is completely empty, and it needs to be painted in one colour (so accidentally having a bit of paint spreading around is not a problem). The sheets will cover the floor and no taping is required.
All these signs are telling me to use an electric spray rather than a roller. Have I missed anything? Is there an advantage for roller painting in this case?

I know someone who sprayed a 3m x3m room.
It took ages and a roller would have taken a quarter or less of the time.
