Stain on bedside table ideas?

Hi, I left my washbag on my bedside table and it's left this mark. Any ideas on what to do to get rid of it? Do I need to sand it back or is there a more simpler solution? Welcome any advice

Sand back to bare wood and use osmo table top oil

Try the old "damp cloth and hot iron" method.

Hot iron over kitchen paper , heat turns moisture to vapour which paper then absorbs.
Slow process though .
