Hi,
I have an old farm house cottage that's got a few water ingress issues since winter. it first manifested as some blistering on the paint work of the window sill. it's steadily gotten worse and recently I have removed the internal window sill to try and identify the issue. Unfortunately, there doest seem to be any issue directly below or at the window sill.. water seems to be coming down either side of the window, like through the wall (the wall is exposed stone on the outside) but I'm not sure.. it could be coming from the roof and dropping down.. I'm looking for some help on how to diagnose this issue or what type of trades person would be best to contact to help assist and resolve.

thanks
Craig.

Maybe there is no vertical dpc which should stop damp getting to the internal side.

Is it solid stone walls of cavity construction

it was orginally solid stone but has been converted inside so now there is a cavity.. I can see a damp proof plastic sheet on the inside of the stone wall.. I will post pics later.
