Just watched the wind stop the fan in the downstairs loo and spin it the opposite way...

How are you getting on?

My mate left Southampton a couple of hours ago on a 2 week Norwegian cruise. Looking at the forecast for the areas he’s going through, he's going to get forces 9,10 and 11 on the Beaufort scale. I think he might be in for a rough night.

Feck that for a laugh, we got caught in a force 11 crossing the channel 30 odd years ago and it was terrifying. Waves coming over the top of the ship, a steward running about saying he'd never seen the sea that rough in the 30 years he'd worked on ships, nightmare.

Been tracking him (Fred Olsen Balmoral) and it's dropped off the app. I hope it’s not sunk!

It, or rather - the dog was unsettled by the noise, and woke me at 5am, strutting up and down - so I decided to get up and make Avril coffee and toast in bed. She had to be off to work for 6. The wind peaked at 7am, but by 11am I was feeling tired, so went back to bed for a couple of hours.

Had some free entertainment watching a neighbour trying to catch the felt on his shed roof before it blew away into the grey yonder. Told him to stick it down after a temporary fix from the last storm took it off. He decided to go with tacking it - Offered him the rest of my Evercryl to protect it. No. He knew best.
Or not.

Popped back up now. Doesn’t seem to have got far to me. Weather not great in that area.

Like a disaster zone around here: I've had to re-drape my icicle lights from where they'd got tangled up........

#firstworldproblems ;)

I’m a bit worried about the trampoline in my garden. Until this morning, we didn’t have one.

Recycling box has vanished, another storm victim

I use a tonne bag for transporting garden waste to the tip; easy to handle, and keeps the car clean(ish).

Forgot I'd left it on the drive, up against the garage door.

Realised when I saw it soar like an eagle, up and over, before circling in a graceful whirl and onto my neighbour's garage roof.

After a moment's pause, it gathered itself and rose again, and finally made its escape.

FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:ROFLMAO:

One of those flew off a builders truck in front of me, it caught on the waste tap under the camper so had to pull over and release it, was then stuck with it so drove into a nearby council depot and stuffed in to a grit bunker
