As per title.
I’ve been strimming a piece of woodland say 200 ft square for a year or two now & never an issue.

I did it Saturday & all weekend I’ve been scratching my arm & neck.

Now all red & blotchy but cream now applied.

Reading around I come to the conclusion that it’s down to some plants called Cuckoo Pint / Lords & Ladies.

What do people wear when strimming such places.

I was wearing steel toe cap wellies & also chainsaw / brush cutter helmet with Mesh visor.

He pays good money so I need to keep doing this but can’t be like this situation again.

Don't know that plant, but watch out for common hogweed too.

Wear a helmet with full face polycarbonate visor, chin guard if you can get it too.
Cover all exposed skin.
Gloves,
If it's wet, waterproofs.
If it's dry, overalls/boilersuit.
If it's hot, hi vis overalls to reflect the sun.

Watch out for your left cuff, if that is open debris can get up there. You might need a snapper arm band

Looks as though you may have come into contact with it somehow, (possibly pollen spores or just bits of vegetation).

Have a look at this link. You really need to be covered up properly, especially if you are strimming it.

If the ground doesn't have rocks use a grass blade which cuts rather than smashes the plants.
Edit: A strimmer running on 18v would never cut this lot down but a blade does it with ease.
