Really simply, I’ve accidentally knocked a hole through my wall to the next room.
It’s a 1930’s house old thin breeze block type with horse/goat hair plaster.
Stupidly I thought there would be a brick.
Please can anyone assist by providing all your experiences and suggestions on how I should fix this…bearing in mind I need to secure a couple of sockets to it!
Thanks

Some wall types aren't suitable for fixing flush sockets, that maybe why they are surface mounted presently.

I've got a few bits of decorative wood that'd look good to cover the hole and support a socket.

So would you insert them to the wall? Or would you secure a larger piece of wood over the hole and secure on top?
