Hi,
Need to fix down some wooden floorboards - about 20mm thick.
Believe I need 50mm screws but says online avoid where the shank is fully threaded.
Got some with smooth shank at top but it was 20mm of smooth so took back and swapped, now there is no smooth part.
Apparently the fully threaded ones hold the board too tight and will end up making it squeak..
What would be the best to use? Seen some 6 x 2" brass but again looks like loads of the shank is smooth? https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/200-6-x-2-...476483?hash=item2f14443203:g:OLMAAOSwgyxWUhpM.
Thanks in advance!
