I think the rest of you have this philological thing regarding certain petrol drives better

I'm not sure that it has anything to do with the comparative and historical study of languages, actually......

So, perhaps the only reason diesels get better mpg is because they are so boring to drive that you are never tempted to put your foot down?

Sidecar: 500cc diesel? Is this one of those diddy 2-door city cars you see buzzing around Rome? I have seen just one in the UK, funky little things. Makes a SMART look as big as an Escalade
