Having problems with voltage supply ranges from 119v 250v only obvious problem strip lights wont work at peak times.
Will this damage components air con, fridge, tv ect?
Are there any voltage regulators available?

are all your measurements from the same socket? it sounds like you may have a dual voltage system.

if its not that then this kind of variation is a pretty damn major problem and i wouldn't expect much equipment to tolerate it (universal switched mode psus like are used on laptops would but i can't imagine much else tolerating it)

Sorry just checked with nieghbour should have said 219v not 119v only obvious sign is strip lights wont work sometimes at night (high demand)

From 2008 the declaired voltage in the UK will be 230V + or - 10%. That's 207 to 253 volts.

Currently it's 230V plus 10% minus 6%.

but this post is in Electrics OUTSIDE the U.K and topic title is "supply voltage irregular cyprus"

From APPX 2 IEE regs:
In November 1988 the European electrical standards body CENELEC agreed on harmonization of "low voltage" electricity supplies in Europe......
The measure is intended to harmonize mains electricity supplies at 230v within Europe. CENELEC has proposed three stages of harmonization, the first two stages of which are shown below:

Effective date, V Nom, Permitted tol, Permitted voltage range.

Pre 1995, 240V +6%/-6%, 225.6 - 254.4V
1 Jan 1995, 230V +10%/-6% 216.2, - 253V
1 Jan 2008 (Proposed), 230v +10%/-10%, 207 - 253V

can't see that causing any problems should be well within tolerance. as for the flourescents sounds like they are getting old and/or thier is something dodgy on the lighting cuircuit that makes the voltage considerablly worse there than on the power cuircuits.
