Hi we have had a sun room built (had numerous issues wiht the builder e.g. built it 240mm too long, 20mm too high on 1 pier...)
So we had a tiler come round to look at fitting under floor heating and tiling but the builder has built the suspended timber floor too high..it is already level with the floor indoors and obviously with insulation board, levellling compound and tiles it will end up finishing on the upvc patio door frame....which we intend to replace when we have the money so it works better with the new room..so it need to finish below this..also it will leave an odd lip at the patio doors leading out to the garden. What are the options? Thanks

On another note when the glazers arrived to install the windows they mentioned there were no cavity closers and as such have just put window sills over the cavity gap ( the build has not been plasterboarded as yet...I knew nothing about needing cavity closers and woud have assumed the builder would have fitted these...) by the end of this build my hair will be grey!!

Option are rebuild the floor, put up with it, skip the ufh completely and use a radiator, use ufh that goes under the floorboards instead. Can't think of any others off hand.

A wet system can go under the floorboards.

A floor can be as high as the high threshold on plastic door frames, avoiding those stupidly high steps.

Cavities should be closed to avoid air leakage.
