System restore

I use Windows XP & on the last 2 occasions that I have tried to do a system restore it would not work unless I did it in safe mode. Is this normal or do I have another problem. Thanks

You must have another issue.

Agree. Sounds like some other problem. You should be able to do system restore from your start menu. However, System Restore will always work better in safe mode anyway.

Thanks for the replies, further research suggests that the operating system has been corrupted & the only cure is to do the repair process with the installation disk, as is is just a minor irritant I'll leave it for now as I'm not keen on possibly messing up the bios.
