Teething issues after DVR Upgrade & New 5mp camera.

We,ve upgraded the DVR, so that higher megapixel cameras can be added now & so its capable & ready to Upgrade easily in the future.
The old dvr (Cobra HDTVI-16E) ran 11 Tpro 2mp cameras.
All we have done is replace the DVR with a (UNV xvr302-16q) and reconnected the 11 BNC connections.
But camera 1 now looks like its shimmering (under water) & the 1 New Upgraded camera (Tpro 5mp, hd vfd) we added has a double image .
Regarding the new camera, it does look like its a connection/cable issue.
So weve ordered new BNC's & crimper tool, so we can replace all the BNC'S, as i did notice 3 or 4 BNC connections are loose, although the related camera pictures look good.
Maybe its just unlucky, but its a little suspect that its happened just as weve added a new 5mp camera.
So all cameras are the 2mp existing ones, & the only camera weve connected additionally is One Upgraded 5mp camera.
They should be 'Plug & Play' but it hasnt been that easy.

So ive disconnected the BNC on the dvr for the new 5mp camera & the other cameras look fine.
Also camera 1 , still looks like its under water.
Im gonna make a short coax to test new camera in situ, at the dvr.
Which should tell us whats happening with that one, but camera 1 is still weird.
I guess ill have to check that one on a short coax also.
 
One more thing to note, is that all the old cameras are 2mp & now weve upgraded the DVR, it is capable to run our new 5mp cameras & also the manufacturer said the DVR had capability to run Maximum 4 cameras upto 8mp.
So could our new 5mp camera be connected to the wrong BNC on tbe back of the DVR?
Just a thought ? Is a 5mp camera supposed to be connected on One of the first 4 BNC's on tbe DVR?
 
pictures would help get an idea of whats going on.

but correctly terminated on decent cables solves many issues.
faulty unit power supplies have been known to interfere and give poor images
when you use better quality cameras then the cables need to be good some pre supplied cables are very thin low quality.

all equipment has limitations, you can usually set 5MP cameras to 2MP resolution and work your wy up to see if and when the issue occurs
