Texecom Odyssey X vs Pyronix Deltabell X

Hello

I am looking to find the technical specs for a deltabell X sounder to see which bell box has the brighter comfort LED's from to 2. Pyronix dont offer much info compared to Texecom.
Can anybody please advise?

The Odyssey X, LED's are the easiest to see out of the Texecom range.

Ie you can see them in daylight as well as night time.
 
Any comments on pyronix deltabell X or plus. Pyronix also uses white LED's are they just as bright?
 
You can see the Pyronix led's when you stand underneath the bell box during daylight.
All led's on bell boxes will get dimmer as dirt collects on the STROBE lens.You may need to keep cleaning bell box cover to keep then bright.
Never been issue with customers.
 
It's a difficult thing to quantify really. Depends on many variables; ambient light levels, sounder supply voltage, angle of viewing, location of sounder on the building, colour of strobe lense/thickness of plastic etc

In my experience, if you want really bright comfort LEDs, then a Novagard 2 or 4 with a red strobe lense is hard to beat. Between the Delta and the Odyssey, I'd say the Odyseey has the edge in terms of brightness (and other things, IMO)

The lens cover for Texecom Odyssex X is 3mm. Do we know how thick the Deltabell X covei is?
 
As Scott has pointed out ....led plus lens colour ...on my last house I had a gardtec nova active 2 with red lens Cover, it was mega bright , fitted with a blue lens cover was poor ... again all depends on led location in the bellbox and the strobe lens location ..

Agreed certainly the Odyssey X over Odyssey in terms of comfort LED'S on any of its lens options, but then again if you look at the lenses on the two you can see why immediately.
 
They just do red, blue, green and white lens options.

we use white with blue lens and the comfort LED's can be seen in bright sunlight

The Odyssey 3 and the Odyssey 4 of old used to have the clear lens options.
Mind you you used to be able to get bright orange Cover for the odyssey 3's at one time, consolidate the range for the more popular options.

They'll all be made from 3mm polycarbonate, it's in the standards for the manufacture of external sounders. 3mm plastic or 1.2mm steel

The Odyssey X white lens cover is actually opaque white and LED's dont shine through very well at all. Pyronix also do a white base but now sure how well their LED's will shine through.
The comfort LED's on Odyssey X have a brightness of 100mcd not sure about pyronix
 
The orisec bell range has bright LED’s that can be seen clearly during the day.

Is that the Risco Novagard 2 or Gardtech Novagard you were referring to?

What colour are the comfort LED's on a Risco Novagard 2?
