Recently inherited a Texecom Premier Elite 48 Metal box version... with some zone expanders and two keypads.

I'm wanted to fit a simple system to my house, around 4 pirs (ground floor) and front and back door contacts.

I wondered if it's a good idea to have one keypad near the entrance (covered with PIR) and the other keypad upstairs... was thinking I could set the system (ground floor)tet when sleeping.

As a newbie is this easy to configure or should I be looking at something else.

TIA

Thats exactly what i have at my house. Prem elite 24 panel hidden away, keypad at entry door and one on upstairs landing so can set at night. Works very well.

You could do with the wintex software and usbcom cable to program it on your laptop and transfer to panel.....makes everything a million times easier.

Is all the equipment brand new because if not you may encounter problems with the codes?

Thanks for the message, sadly no, it's not new, I didn't think to check/ask.

Is it possible to do a master factory reset?

I believe so yes aslong as the panel hasnt been set up to prevent this.

You need to get hold of the manual from the internet for the prem elite panels, it looks daunting but its really a straight forward read..... have a go at wiring your system as EOL. Get some prem elite sensors with built in resistors to make this super easy. You could install this panel easily if your half competent at DIY but you will need the manual and the wintex software.

Those are the ones yep, have a look at the different types, they do a few different versions which you could decide on depending on where they are being fitted (i.e, garage, conservatory).

They have resistors built in and you can alter ‘jumper’ clips inside for different resistance values.

Take a look on the texecom website for downloads n info-its very good
