Hi all..

I recently bought a Texecom Premier Elite 64W.
I have 4 core cabling in certain areas throughout the house for the pir sensors and then various other places such as the garage but since have had an outbuilding built and new doors which i wanted to add some wireless detectors to hence why i went for the wireless system.
However i bought it because its hybrid and carries both capabilities which works perfectly for my situation.
The only thing is, I have a total of 8 wired zones to connect but there is only 6 wired zones available (4 zones and 2 zones in the keypad) but I assumed I could use the zone doubling feature to essentially double up the zones as described in the online manuals. But this seems to only be a feature on the Premier panels and not the elite panels which i find bizarre?
I want to ideally be able to double up the zones so the system can read each individual wired device.
All the cabling is run in parallel, so individually back to the panel.
If this is not possible then what would you suggest? I would be happy to put 2 PIRs on a single zone if possible but Ive read this isn't straight forward because 3 points are wired in 4 core (the rest in 8 core) and all wired in parallel.

I look forward to anyone who can share their advice and expertise on my situation.
Thank You

Zone Doubling on international Premier range.

You can add a hard wired expander address 5 or add a hard wired keypad to get the extra zones. It's not ideal to share zones but it can be done if the devices aren't triple eol

Thanks for the reply, I have a hard wired keypad which is ideal for the additional zones but im still short by 2.
I have thought of expanders but for the sake of the 2 extra zones I need I would prefer to avoid if i can plus space is limited unless they do something that will fit inside the panel?

Ok thanks so with the device sharing, this can be done in my case or is it just not a good idea?
