Having, once upon a time, been a supplier to Amazon, even if items are available on the US site they can only appear on their UK website once a vendor or supplier has added them. In short some, numpty UK based importer uploaded the products to the Amazon UK database, makes you wonder what else they may have uploaded...

In general I find that people are really quite dumb when it comes to reading and understanding ratings plates on electrical goods. It sort of explains why on a number of occasions I've bought electrical goods off eBay (mainly tools) which are 110 volt or USA 120 volt but arrive fitted with a 3-pin 230 volt plug. It's obvious that all you need to do is swap the plug, isn't it?......... Darwin Awards, anybody?
With most high-tech stuff being universal voltage these days it's easy to forget that lower tech stuff tends to be fixed voltage (or at best manually switchable voltage)
Also IIRC china uses approximately 230V but use a mixture of American style 2-pin plugs and Australian style 3-pin plugs.

China actually uses 220v, but yes the plugs are 2 or 3 flat pins. Some of the sockets especially multi way trailing ones are those universal ones with more hole than faceplate, all non shuttered of course.
It seems to be standard for Chinese students to bring 220v rice cookers here with no noticeable issues.

If 120 volt, and since he has not as far as I saw actually found it was 120 volt, then it was rather good being able to work with nearly twice the design voltage.
I have received a number of items with USA style two flat pins, and first thing is check voltage, all have been 220 or 230 volt, so having a USA style plug does not mean 120 volt.
I did find UK site with it listed, but no voltage, and says currently unavailable. It does seem likely it was 120 volt, but we can only assume. I tried to read package to find voltage, however could not find it listed anywhere on a site which is UK based.
What worries me, is not it may be 120 volt, but there is nothing to say what voltage it is.
