The Budget 2024.

That the government aren't.
Because they don't want to be.
They just want you to think that they are tough on immigration.
I guess we need lots of young foreign workers to pay taxes which can then pay our ever increasing pension burden.

Seems like Conservatives desperate voter bribing budget hasn’t worked…..Sunak gets the dreaded call to see Sir Graham Brady

Rishi Sunak holds private meeting with chair of influential 1922 committee of backbench Tory MPs amid concerns over party's direction

In light of the defection of Lee Anderson to Reform, the row over a donor's reported language about Diane Abbott, the lacklustre reception of the budget and the continued poll deficit, Tory MPs are increasingly anxious.

Jeremy's budget did not bring a wave of Tory love, so hopes of a May election have been dashed.

Probably Autumn now.

Micawber's principle.

Slight rumour of a summer election - it's being "studied". Is Sunak on his way out? Who will the infantile aged party vote for to replace him? Seems a proportion of MP's do want shut of him.

Any Tory leader has to stand up and say what a great party it is.
They have to do it without looking stupid.
That would be a problem.

Will the next leader be the sixth-choice?
Seventh? It's so easy to lose count.....

"Scraping the barrel" doesn't even come close.

The Cons have a problem that some of them don't like Sunak

But they don't agree on the reason.

Too left? Too right? Too soft on racists? Wife too rich? Too anti-muslim? Not pro-genocide enough? Too Brexy? Not Brexy enough?

Remember these are the people who thought Johnson was their best bet. And then Truss.

Will they be able to find someone who will still be an MP after the next election?

Do enough of them think the Poundland woman has big enough charisma?

Sir Robert Buckland seemed very nice on TV the other week. Maybe he could be a caretaker PM.

Might they call on David Cameron and let him be PM from the Lords until he gets a seat.

They're not exactly spoilt for choice

After the election Johnson and Osborne might fancy a return.
