The Timing and Excuse for War

Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me.
It's not just me that the usual culprits, including you, use dishonest tactics instead of reasonable counter arguments.
I see another poster is subject to dishonest vindictive accusations without any evidence.
It's the only way you, fillyboy, Notch, etc are able to debate.

Perhaps it's because we're in awe of you, what with you being a master debater.

That one fell flat on its face.

Your only tactic in your collective mass debate is to make dishonest imaginary accusations.
Perhaps it relieves your stress, but it's just fantasy.

Roy Bloom appears to be an anti-racist antisemite.

Looking for antisemtic allies

Roy Bloom is also an antisemite.
He thinks he can use this thread to legitimise his antisemitic views

An antisemite, racist, terrorist supporting fruitcake.
Some people are of the opinion that criticiising Israel is anti-Semtism.

Such is their intellect. Or maybe it's their desire to be as offensive as possible. Or maybe they think that if they make enough dishonest accusations, they'll convince themselves their opinion is correct.

Either way their definition of anti-Semitism is blatantly wrong, and thus, their accusation mendacious and vexatious.
As Barack Obama said:
that it is possible for people of good will to champion Palestinian rights and oppose certain Israeli government policies in the West Bank and Gaza without being anti-semitic.

you cant provide any evidence that the UN believe Hamas are not a terrorist organisation.
Silly boy. It's like me, asking you to prove that you're not a racist. It's logically not possible to prove a negative.
You can't prove a negative, but I can get very close to proving the positive, that you are a racist, by proving that you defend racism.
See the difference?

Anyone with any intelligence knows that it is not possible to prove a negative.
You've asked for this proof before and I've provided the nearest to it that's possible, by proving the absence of the positive.
Proof of a Negative Claim

So you simply cannot prove general claims that are negative claims -- one cannot prove that ghosts do not exist; one cannot prove that leprechauns too do not exist. One simply cannot prove a negative and general claim.

All you're doing, in asking for proof of a negative, is displaying your lack of logic and dishonest debating style.

For anyone interested, here is an excellent article from a previous devout supporter of previous Israeli policies and (in his words) Israel's racist actions towards Palestinians.
I have vehemently disagreed with his previous opinions, and I do not agree with all of his opinions in this piece. But it's worth a read anyway.

This one is not behind the paywall.

You appear to have flip-flopped in your opinions.
A couple of days ago you were agreeing with my suspicions.
Now you've resorted to your normal style of all out abuse, with no attempt to discuss the issue.
Is that because you feel more comfortable with that style?
why are you quoting 2 different people , ? bit early in the day to be on the white marching powder

Oops. You're right. My mistake. I'll delete my comment.
It was the similarity of your usernames, my failing eyesight (cue the usual ribald comments) and my tendency to speed read.

1) Hamas commit appalling acts of terror
2) groups that commit acts of terror are terrorists

Come on Himmie, try your hardest to prove any dishonesty in those statements

The reality is that it is you who is dishonest because you desperately try and claim Hamas are only given the name of terrorists for political reasons

Pointless exercise discussing anything with a sarky bitch like you.

1) Hamas commit appalling acts of terror
Both Hamas and Israelis, IDF and civilians, commit appalling terrible acts, and there can be no justification, nor excuse for such atrocities.
Hamas have been doing it since about 2006, and in response to Israel subjugating the Palestinians and committing such appalling terrible acts since about 1967.

2) groups that commit acts of terror are terrorists
You can't claim that they were acts of terror without applying the politically motivated label of terrorists.
(I'll come to the politicisation in a minute.)

As UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said, Hamas acts of atrocity do not occur in a vacuum.
To suggest or imply that they do is disingenous. (see my response to your point 1)

Let me draw another example of politicaly motivated labeling of terrorists, one much closer to home and I suspect within your lifetime:
Were IRA designated as terrorist organisations by UK government? The answer to that must be a resounding YES! Even thir political wing Sinn Fein were denied a voice during the 70's.

Were the IRA designated as terrorist by USA, and many other countries?
Or, if you like, which countries designated the IRA as terrorists.
Why not?

When you've perused the answer to that question, you will, I hope, understand that designating an orgainsation as terrorist is indeed a political policy. There is no absolute international list nor international agreement about who or what are terrorist organisations. In the absence of any such list or agreement, there is no other conclusion than to accept that the designation is a political ploy.

FFS. Any group that deliberatetly targets, murders, mutilates and kidnaps civilians with the sole intention of causing fear, terror and disruption are by definition terrorists.

Your justification for not using the correct term is an attempt to legitimise your antisemtism and racism.

The IRA were terrorists. Whether the US designated them as terrorists is irrelevent. But at least the IRA usually gave warnings before their bombs, the numbers of victims involved in each attack were a fraction of what Hamas killed, mutuliated and kidnapped and their attacks were frequently against British forces, Police and Politicians. It just demonstrates how evil Hamas really are when the IRA are seen as a more moral class of terrorist.
