The UK publishes a list of organisations banned under UK law.
They're not necessarily proscribed terrorsit organisations by all, because it's a political ploy to designate which groups are terorist.

The IRA were terrorists. Whether the US designated them as terrorists is irrelevent.

It is the proof that the designation of which organisations are terrorists, or not, is a political ploy, nothing more, nothing less.
Do you assume that UK did not pressurise USA to designate IRA as terrorists, but they resisited? Don't be naive.

But at least the IRA usually gave warnings before their bombs, the numbers of victims involved in each attack were a fraction of what Hamas killed, mutuliated and kidnapped and their attacks were frequently against British forces, Police and Politicians. It just demonstrates how evil Hamas really are when the IRA are seen as a more moral class of terrorist.

Israel's policies and attacks have been against Palestinians for decades. The Hamas incursion into Israel did not occur in a vacuum.
Israel has also carried extra-judicial killings around the world, and carried out military strikes against its neighbours multiple times.

If the designation of terrorist is not a political ploy, why did USA not designate the IRA as terorrists?
I'm sure the UK applied pressure on them to do so, but they resisted. In fact they allowed finance to be collected in USA for the IRA.
