Hi All,
Can somebody help me?
I am doing an extension rear single storey, side double storey 7.6X3.5m front single storey on a semi.
My question is about a double-storey wall.
On left side I got an old wall (existing)
backside steel sitting on the goalpost, first floor wall I can build on it.
The right side is Thermalite 3.6n (inside skin) concrete blocks outside skin, hope I can carry on for 1st floor.
The 1st floor front wall should sit on steel. The steel should sit on the old wall and sidewall which is newly built with thermalite 3.6n.
My questions are:
1. Front wall steel can be installed on thermalite 3.6n wall using padstones?
2. Is thermalite 3.6n enough to hold weight for my first floor wall and roof? mainly concerns about sidewall which new wall built with thermalite & concrete blocks.
3. On the drawings SE mentioned 7n blocks, do I need to re-build walls (currently 2.5 meters height walls up)?
Thank you.
Naresh.
