Thin Slate Worktop (1500mm x 460 mm) How much will cost?

I want to get a thin (5-15mm) slate worktop for my bathroom as the water what splashes up from my recessed sink is starting to ruin the top of the cabinets around my sink.

I need it to be 1500mm x 460mm and want a smooth raw slate finish - a bit like slate roof tiles.

Thus my questions are:

1) Does anyone know roughly how much this will cost? I live in the South East.

2) Is it hard to cut the slate for my recessed sink?

3) Wheres the best place to get it from?

couple of hundred quid, from a stone and granite supplier, they will be able to cut the recess for you. Make sure the slate is well sealed otherwise it will mark with limescale something rotten
