This is the sort of pledge that might get my vote.

Although I'd need more clarification on this: "The party has not detailed whether it would introduce enforcement measures to back up its stance".

the public perception is that good governance is being tough on the poor and vulnerable

so Labour are playing the game -they have no choice given the media is largely right wing

We couldn't even get McDonalds delivered to our home.

Speaking of which.......

Second-born has a job at Maccies, while he's in sixth form.

I went to collect him from his late shift on Friday, and asked why there were a bunch of blokes loitering around the entrance.

Uber drivers were on strike.

But, the daft part was that fatties were still ordering, for home delivery.
At £12 per mile (staff from other Maccies were doing some of the runs).

Fatties willing to burn money, but not calories

in reality it is not

Vinty is desperate for Russia to win, what with him being a Putin lapdog

Yeah,yeah.
Hitler was still predicting total victory when the Russians were within shooting distance of his front door.
Explain why the top brass are predicting the necessity of UK intervention in this war if the Ukranians are capable of winning it on their own.

The last true British patriot.

Does it have anything to do with Labour's pledge?

Uk intervention.

Really? Doesn't tie in with nato, and we are helpless without nato.

yes Thatcher destroyed our manufacturing base and left the regions of this country in terminal decline -ironically the same regions which are most supportive of brexit just to make them even worse off

she also got rid of 1.5m million council houses so now one of the largest costs being paid out in benefits is housing benefit
why would you be against the idea of ditching low skilled, high polluting, low margin industry, for high skilled, low polluting, high margin industry?

Because the Tories allow them to avoid paying full tax rates to help the UK economy by putting them in offshore accounts through the mate-rate system.

The original post was
Motties concern about young people on benefits.
I simply said that the problem could solve itself.

Are lots of people unemployed? Did the population shrink?

People must be doing something for a living.
oh come on, dont even bother trying to squirm your way out of such an obvious strawman:

"why would you be against the idea of ditching low skilled, high polluting, low margin industry, for high skilled, low polluting, high margin industry?"

Your statement is deliberately misleading because jobs were not replaced in those regions of the UK, what happened was all the power and wealth was moved to London / South East and the regions were left to decline for decades (and then manipulated to vote for brexit making them even poorer)
