Hi All

I need to run some Cat 6 cables through underground conduit which has runs of up to 80m. I'm using 50mm perforated pipe which you'd normally use for agriculatural land drainage. So far I've got away with using drain rods for short sections of 20m or so but now I've got the longer sections to do and I'd rather not cut the pipe. When I've run the cables I'll leave a rope in there in case I need to run anything else.

Thanks in advance

Connect the suction from a vacuum cleaner at one end and use it to suck a light weight cord through the duct from the other end. A lump of cotton wool can help on long runs. Then use that light cord to pull a heavier cord through.

If this perforated pipe is underground then you are likely to get moisture in it so ensure the CAT cable is moisture resistant.
