Toilet flush blanking plate

We have a toilet with a Gerberit dual flush plate which has been mounted behind the toilet lid and as a result is really annoying to operate. I plan to covert it to a pneumatic flush with sensor actuated to one side of the toilet. However, I'll be left with the old flush plate with buttons that now won't work. We still need it to be a removable plate for access. However, I can't find any sort of 'blanking plate' I could put in it's place. Does anyone know if one exists or have a solution for what to put in it's place that doesn't look rubbish?! Thanks
