Hi, sorry for the simple question....
Anyone know how to remove toilet seat with no fixings showing, there's no cap to remove where fixings might be hidden, I

can only think to prize it off with screwdriver but feels pretty solid and afraid it will snap.
Thanks

It was from Victoria Plum.
Remove top and bottom panels? You mean the hidden sisten casing? Already done that and no visible fixings.

Well if you sure there is nothing underneath and you have a new seat then it might be time to use the hacksaw.

Wrong toilet seat was used meaning the seat was fitted before the toilet.Cut off lid, then seat and cut the bar out carefully.

Any small holes near the hinge part you can poke something in to release it? Have you tried pulling the seat forward/backwards/upwards to see if it will release?

It moves backwards and forwards and side to side. If I pull upwards feels secure like it'd break if I tried to lever it. No small holes anywhere

Probably as above, the wrong seat was fitted.... Cut it off and use a seat with hidden fixings

So what did the supplier say when you asked them?

Looks identical but mines from 2014, no switch I can see, no button, nothing to slide move etc all completely enclosed. Really shouldn't be this hard! I've emailed supplier

There will be some way to remove it. It looks like the right one to me, suggesting it the wrong one fitted and to chop it off is daft.
