What ho one and all,
I am changing my broadband supplier from John Lewis to PlusNet. As it happen, JL sourced their broadband from PlusNet, which as you probably know, is part of BT.
However, PlusNet have supplied a new router with associated transformer.
Although the poser cable is probably sufficient long, to remove the existing JL power supply and replace with the PlusNet cable will involve quite a lot of cabinet/bookcase unscrewing and moving. it is not far, just rather inconvenient.
The attached photo shows the JL transformer on the right and the PlusNet on the left. Given that they both supply 12V albeit at 1A or 1.5A and the PlusNet does not have the Wattage printed (18W for JL), can I use the existing JL transformer with the new router without any issues?
Thanks and toodle pip
